The terrorist attack in Vienna was carried out by 20-year-old Feyzulai K.
The guy was previously convicted in Austria for participating in a terrorist organization.
Feyzulai K. was sentenced on April 25, 2019 to 22 months in prison for intending to leave for Syria and join Islamic State terrorists.
On December 5, 2019, he was released on parole. He was considered a young adult and thus fell under the Juvenile Court Act.
On the evening of November 2, several shootings took place in the center of Vienna, four people - two women and two men - became victims of terrorist attacks. 17 people were injured.

Police detained one of the suspects
The suspect was detained at about 10:00 in an apartment south of Linz. The man may be involved in a series of attacks in Vienna on the evening of November 2.
According to eyewitnesses, the police took out the man and two other people who were in the same apartment with him. The detainees did not expect a visit from law enforcement officers, so they did not resist.
The name of the detainee is not disclosed.
Austria by all means control on cordons
In order for the police to focus on the search for terrorists, the Austrian military was temporarily tasked with guarding facilities in Vienna.
One of the terrorists was able to escape. The police are still looking for him. Local residents are asked to stay at home in the future and not go out unless absolutely necessary.
The Austrian Interior Minister said that due to the terrorist attack, border control with neighboring states is being strengthened.
